Framework
NEEF Australia works under the following Framework to achieve its vision NEEF's preference for research is community-based participatory research which:
- focuses on a social justice perspective
- is evidence-based
- includes evaluation and feedback to the community, and
- translates research into policy and practice
Projects
Identifying and supporting opportunities for young people across Australia to share a focus on the broad range of issues that enhance and impede the 'bridging the gaps', with the aim of the young people generating their own proposals for action.
Clearing House
Identifying groups, research, projects and activities across Australia that 'bridge the gap' and bring about changes in policy and practice that deserve wider dissemination (using the NEEF website as an access portal).
Networking
Developing relationships with groups across the spectrum (community, not-for-profit, corporate and all levels of government) with the aim of creating symbiotic partnerships both as a catalyst and as a participant.
Global Assistance
NEEF Australia is vitally concerned about disadvantaged groups and initiates overseas projects in the areas of literacy and education.
Funding
NEEF Australia is an Approved Research Institute and has DGR (Deductible Gift Recipient) status. This enables us to raise funds in a tax- efficient way to support our research initiatives.
