CLAN: Children's Literature Australia Network
A NEEF Australia initiative, in December 2008 CLAN was registered in Victoria as a business name of NEEF and is a major component of NEEF Australia activity.
CLAN has been created to:
- offer opportunities for children's authors and illustrators, editors, marketers, publishers and booksellers to advance professionally in their endeavours
- offer emerging children's authors and illustrators via the Maurice Saxby Mentorship Program the opportunity to enter the children's book industry
- open up diverse literature and literacy programs both nationally and internationally
- offer online information for those working in children's literature nationally
CLAN is managed by Albert Ullin, who is also National Coordinator of the Maurice Saxby Mentorship Program.
